Its management was taken over by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan after Delhi home of the Bhavan was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 18th May, 1957. A class assembly on “Cold Wave: Do’s and Don’ts” was conducted in all sections of Class VI on 9 February 2026. Students participated actively and shared useful information about safety measures, proper food, helping the needy, and precautions to take during a cold wave. Many students used placards and creative ideas. The activity was informative and enhanced students’ awareness and speaking skills.

Atharva Baliyan of Class XI-D, Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya, won a national-level prize in Veer Gatha 5.0, organised by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education. He received a medal and cash prize at Bharat Mandapam on 24 January 2026, witnessed the Republic Day Parade, and will be felicitated by SCERT. He was mentored by Mrs Kirti B. Sarkar, HOD, Arts Department.

As part of the Nature and Adventure Camp to Mumbai, a city sight-seeing and exploration excursion was organised on 16 December 2025. A group of 60 students and 6 teachers visited the Siddhivinayak Temple, Discovery of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Office, Gateway of India, Marine Drive, and Chowpatty.
